A free half-day Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Michigan Conference is being held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The program targets healthcare professionals from Michigan as well as other states and is planned, managed and hosted by the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Michigan Association.
Interdisciplinary Speakers: This half-day program will cover topics related to IgE mediated food allergy with risk for anaphylaxis. Conference content will not include information on other forms of adverse reactions to food such as food intolerance.
Ruchi S. Gupta, MD, MPH: from Chicago's Northwestern University, will share her research outcomes on the epidemiology of IgE mediated food allergy, the economic impact of the diagnosis, and more.

Continuing Education Credits: There will be 4 continuing medical education credits for physician assistants and 4 continuing education credits for registered nurses. Conference planners have applied to offer 4 continuing education credits for registered dieticians and are awaiting approval.
Free admission: This is a free grant funded conference and faculty, medical residents, nurse interns, undergraduate and graduate students are also welcome.
