WCMS Bulletin: Inaugural 2019 Edition

Access the digital 1st quarter WCMS Bulletin of 2019: The Case for Organized Medicine, MSMS Legislative Report, 2019 Membership Events, & More!

This year’s new President, Evelyn Eccles, MD, makes the case for "organized medicine" and how it is reorganizing to meet the challenges of change. Review MSMS’ End-of-Year Legislative Report and take a deep-dive on two new laws impacting physicians: Maintenance of Certification (MOC) and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). And continuing the theme of recounting the events of 50 years ago, Larry Baker, DO and Richard Burney, MD recall two different educational experiences: starting a 3rd year clinical rotation on Surgery and being plucked from residency and thrust into the role of radiologist in Vietnam.

Review the Public Health Report, highlights of the civil, but highly interactive discussions at the Executive Council Meeting, and information about this year’s House of Delegates (HOD) meeting.

Copies of the WCMS Bulletin are available at the WCMS office: 5 Research Drive, Suite C, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
