LARA Releases New Opioid FAQs

This week, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) released updated Opioid Law FAQs to provide clarification to help with implementation of the Michigan Opioid Laws. Access the FAQs and learn how you can help to reverse the opioid epidemic by clicking here.

 
MSMS Organizational Remodeling

Following the July 2014 session on long-term membership and non-dues revenue trends, the MSMS Board of Directors composed a Task Force on Membership and Sustainability. MSMS readdressed the need for organizational remodeling at the 2018 House of Delegates meeting. Voter Registration Deadline: July 9

Next Monday, July 9, is the deadline to register to vote in the Aug. 7 primary. Obtain the address of your local clerk or get a mail-in voter registration application by clicking here. Note: First-time voters who register by mail must vote in person in their first election, unless they hand-deliver the application to their local clerk, are 60+, disabled, or are eligible to vote under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.

Attend our Legislative Update on Monday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 AM to interact with local legislators.

 
Mark Your Calendar! Fall WCMS Events

Make sure to attend our "Balance" MedConnect event on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 PM at the Ann Arbor City Club. Attendees will learn how fellow members balance their practice of medicine with other, relaxing talents like writing, playing music, painting, and more!

Interested in running for a WCMS committee or delegate position? Don't miss our "Meet the Candidates" event on Monday, Oct. 15 at 6:30 PM at the Ann Arbor City Club.

WCMS' governing body, the Executive Council, meets the first Thursday of each month at 6 PM starting again on September 6 at WCMS.
