Don’t Let Congress Pull the Rug Out From Milliions of Americans!

Despite overwhelming grassroots pressure, the U.S. Senate continues to flirt with health care legislation that could have disastrous consequences.

The latest plan being considered, the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA), could have resulted in 22 million Americans losing their coverage by 2026, but lacked the necessary votes to pass and effectively sent Senate leadership back to the drawing board. Now some lawmakers are talking about simply scraping current law without offering any replacement at all.

That can't happen. No matter how you feel about the current health care law, repealing it without putting into place any replacement framework would be disastrous for the country. At the same time, rushing to pass a deeply-flawed plan like the BCRA would increase health care costs and cut coverage for millions of Americans.

Take Action Today!

If the recent health care debate has taught us anything, it's that our leaders in Congress need to take a deep breath and start over. Republicans and Democrats need to come together in true bipartisan fashion to address the problems facing our health care system and work on solutions that will lower costs and increase coverage.

Nevertheless, the Senate is charging forward in the near term and a vote is expected early next week that could derail health care for millions, including many of our most vulnerable citizens. Please contact your Senators today and tell them to VOTE NO on the dangerous health care proposals now under consideration and to OPPOSE any plan that will cut your coverage, increase your out of pocket costs or end coverage for those that currently have it.

It's time to put patients before politics!
